Phoenix Mendoza
Saturday, May 6, 2023
A teller of tales, singer of songs, and painter of pictures. Phoenix Mendoza exudes the same singer-songwriter/artist vibe that came to define Laurel canyon in the early 70’s. Signed to Warner Chappell Music shortly after arriving in Nashville TN where he currently resides, Mendoza has written, performed, and recorded with major label artists such as Brantley Gilbert, Love and Theft, Trevor Rosen (Old Dominion), Steve Wariner, Whisperin’ Bill Anderson, JD Souther and Raul Malo (The Mavericks) to name a few. And has been featured on major motion picture soundtracks with the likes of Chris Stapleton, Randy Houser, and Kix Brooks (Brooks and Dunn). He co-produced “Pieces of You” by Chris Carmack (Grey’s Anatomy, ABC’s Nashville, The OC) and, “I Thought I Knew it All” by Electra Mustaine with Grammy winner Ben Fowler. Both of which were featured in Rolling Stone. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/hear-nashville-star-chris-carmacks-achingpieces-of-you-47919/ https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/see-electra-mustaines-country-cover-ofmegadeths-knew-it-all-230376/
He spent five years writing, recording, and touring with the band HighSouth. Releasing 3 albums and topping the charts in multiple countries. His influence on the band and their music helped rebrand them into the 70’s songwriter/vocal harmony genre that long-time friend and collaborator Josh Leo helped pioneer. In 2019, with the arrival of his daughter Luna and, shortly there after, his son Jasper, the songs began to change. Phoenix felt that it was time to recalibrate his focus to a more intimate, storyteller setting. The honesty of fatherhood and the need to be present, opened a well of creativity previously untapped. From that well came his first solo project in 10 years, “Jasper - Side One” a five song EP that is currently available on all platforms. His follow-up EP “Luna - Side Two” is already in the works and set to be released in 2023. Along with his music, Mendoza has been creating Original Oil paintings on canvas. Some of which are auctioned off at live shows across the country.
Brad Colerick
Sunday, June 11, 2023
Casa Con Tiki welcomes Los Angeles-based country-folk singer/songwriter Brad Colerick. He is an emerging voice in the contemporary folk scene. Billboard Magazine called him “one of a baker’s dozen of acts to watch in the folk community around the world.” The Associated Press said of his latest CD, “Colerick's stories are worth hearing... his warm, sunny, homey tenor brings alive the characters, places, and relationships in these songs…songs that are so good they’ll likely be covered by artists better known than Colerick, but he does them justice himself.”
A finalist at Kerrville, Rocky Mountain, Falcon Ridge, and Sisters Folk Festival songwriter competitions, Colerick’s songs and stories grab the attention of audiences and don’t let go. His plain-spoken lyrics, along with exquisitely crafted melodies, are delivered with clarity and passion.
He is a commanding presence on stage, due in part to the hundreds of shows he has hosted every Wednesday night for nearly five years at his popular Wine & Song concert series in Los Angeles alongside artists such as Herb Pedersen, Joe Pug, Katy Moffatt, Tony Lucca, Joe Henry, Dan Navarro, Jude Johnstone, and countless others.

The Landlocked Sailor
Some of my favorite memories are of sitting around a campfire on a beach in Kansas while my dad played the guitar and sang. The moonlight, the stars, and the fire all danced together on the water, while the rest of us danced on the sand.
There was some country, a little classic rock, and a whole lot of Jimmy Buffett. Years later, when I picked up my own guitar, I could feel all those influences come through me in the music I played and the stories I told.
Whether it’s a song about life, love, or the lack of, I want to take listeners to their own place where worries fade and solutions become more clear. I may not be able to make problems disappear, but as the Landlocked Sailor I do know how to find a beach, even in the middle of Kansas!
No matter where the road leads, I'll always have sand in my boots...
Southern Rockin' Country with a twist of lime, a splash of salt water, and distilled in the backwoods of Tennessee...yep, that about sums it up!
Mike has spent well over a decade on the road-touring the US, Caribbean,
Mexico and Central America-and building a grass roots fanbase for his original music. With story teller songs about life and love, lyrical tales from the unique people he's met along the way, and of course plenty of summertime "drinkin' at the lake tunes" with an island-inspired twist, there's something in a Mike Nash show for everyone to relate to.
Mike's music has been used in television programs on stations such as GAC and CMT and he is one of the featured performers in the 2016 Mailboat Records release of "Parrotheads the Documentary". He also appears for a musical cameo in the Hollywood feature film "Chasing The Sun" -both available on Amazon Prime.

Bill Wharton is a powerhouse entertainer, mixing his Bluesy slide guitar and soulful voice into an unforgettable, high energy show. It’s a soul-shouting picnic of Rock and Roll brotherhood, with the audience stirring the pot, and at the end of the show, everyone eats.
Sauce Boss brings his signature gumbo show and original Florida swampy blues to the Casa Con Tiki stage.
Jimmy Buffett sings about him in “I Will Play for Gumbo”. Wharton’s anthem, “Let the Big Dog Eat” was included on Buffett’s “Late Night Menu at the Margaritaville Cafe” album. Albert Castiglia released his cover of the tune, and it hit #1 on blues charts. Let the Big Dog Eat has also appeared in the movies “Something Wild” (Jonathon Demme), and the Rock Doc, “Jimmy Carter Rock and Roll President.” This tune and sixteen other works in the documentary earned Wharton “‘Best Original Score” from the Los Angeles Film Awards.
